News We are once again having an exciting year at Judy’s School of Dance. Our studio was proud to be a part of the Olympic Torch Bearing Ceremony when it came through Stratford on Sunday, December 27, 2009. We had forty-five step dancers and five musicians representing our studio in this patriotic event. On April 15, 16 & 17, 2010 we will have a large contingent from our studio attending the Nickel City Clogging Workshop on Grand Island, New York. While there Judy will be teaching classes and close to 60 dancers from Judy’s School of Dance will be performing in their Saturday Night Show. Kyle Waymouth has been given the opportunity to tour across Canada with the Scott Woods Band. The band leaves on May 4, 2010 for a tour of Western Canada, returning home the middle of June. After a couple of weeks reprieve they depart July 8th for the East Coast, returning at the end of the month. What a wonderful opportunity for a 15 year old! You can catch Kyle performing locally with the band on Thursday, April 8th in Milverton. The show starts at 7:00 pm. at the Perth East Recreation Complex. They will also be in Stratford at Greenwood Court on Friday, April 30th, starting at 7:00 pm. As we enter in to the final stages of our dance season, plans are being made for our year-end recital. Judy’s 30th Annual Step Dancing Festival will be held on Sunday, May 30th at the Tavistock Arena. The program will get underway at 1:30 pm. and all profits from the show will be donated to the S.W. O. Fiddle and Step Dance Association. The biggest news in our studio these days is our upcoming performance at Disney in Florida. After submitting portfolio work, our group has been chosen to put on a show on the Waterside Stage at Downtown Disney on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. What a great opportunity for all of our students at Judy’s School of Dance – Disney here we come!!!
